The REACH-Regulation is the EU chemical regulation. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. We, as manufacterer of paints and coatings, take under REACH the role of a „downstream user“. That is the reason why we have no direct obligation to register our products. However we a concerned that products, we use, are preregistered by their manufacterers or importers and will be registered in the future at the European Chemical Agency. According to our suppliers, we don´t expect any serious restrictions on the supply of raw materials, so that we can assure consitent quality for our products. The statuary requirements are implemented on shedule in Feycolor. So you, as our consumer, are on the safe side.

SVHC stands for "substance of very high concern". SVHC include substances with the following properties:

  • The competent authorities of the REACH EU-member countries agree at regular intervals, which of the possible SVHC be added to the list of candidates to the ECHA. By incorporating these materials are potentially subject to approval.

With each extension of the SVHC candidate list, the responsibilities of our company is growing, knowledge of possible ingredients with hazardous effects on human health or the environment. Under Article 33 of the REACH Regulation, each supplier is obliged to provide the removal of products with sufficient information on the presence of SVHC at a concentration of greater than 0.1 mass percent (w / w) in the product available. This information will enable the safe use of products.

We periodically review the use of these so-called SVHC substances in our products.
